Booking 2 Guarantee Cabins

For those that booked 2 or more guarantee cabins do you usually get the cabins assigned on the same deck?  We have had our travel agent link the reservations.   I realize R.C I gets to choose your cabins but wanted too hear others experiences.

There is no guarantee that the cabins will be together, however from experience when we have booked this way our cabins ended up beside each other or at least on same floor.

First time we took the kids on a cruise we booked 2 OV GTY, it would have cost an extra $800 to select our rooms, the agent at NCL told us they would release them at the same time and since our reservations were linked would be close together.  Although we were on the same deck one room was 3rd from the front and the other 3rd from the back.  The kids were a bit worried but it ended up being ok
