AFT SUITES CROWN PRINCESS

We are booked next year doing back to back cruises and booked into cabin C750 for one cruise but could not get this for the second one and so have C749.  Does anyone know what the differences are between these suites.  Are the balconies the same?  On the deck plan it looks about the same but can't find out anything about any differences between the suites.  Has anyone stayed in either of these?  We stayed in D736 before which is a corner aft suite and loved it - is this similar?  Thanks

C 750 is a vista suite with the support beams on the balcony. C 749 is a penthouse suite with no obtrusive beam. I think these are the only differences, but I have never been in the penthouse suite. We have been in C750 and didn’t find the beams too bad.

Hi Jan,

Our preferred suites are D737 and D736, which as you know from your own experience have the wonderful corner balconies.  We have sailed in both C749 and C750.  C749 has a great balcony with no beams on it at all.  C750 was our least favourable balcony as it suffers from having the two support beams on it and cutting down on the space you are used to.  It all depends on your own personal preferences of course, but for us C750 / C751 are out for us.

How is the soot issue on the rear facing suites?

We have sailed on the Crown and other Grand Class ships numerous times in aft suites with no problems.

We have not had soot issues on any ships other than the Royal Class.

Good to know!! Thank you!

Jan, I don't know if this is helpful, but we sailed in cabin C749 on the Ruby Princess (sister to the Crown Princess), last December.  We found that cabin to be excellent.  VERY spacious for just the two of us.  The balcony was excellent--very spacious with a nice table that could comfortably seat four.  Since this was a Mexican Riviera cruise, it was warm enough to enjoy multiple meals on the balcony.  In addition to the UBD and the UBB we twice ordered dinner from room service off the dining room menu.

In January we are taking a 15-day Hawaii cruise on the Star Princess--in cabin C749.

Hi, as others have said, on the Grand Class ships there are no issues at all with soot on the aft as the balconies are covered.  We have had soot issues on the Regal but we haven't sailed on her in a long time so I don't know if those issues are now resolved.
