Will HAL ever have a pop up Tamarind ?

In the spirit of CO and Rudi's pop up being fleet wide , why not have a Tamarind once or twice each cruise ? It would enhance the cruise experience and probably generate a positive cash flow for the cruise line . It's our second favorite place to eat behind the Pinnacle . Here's the menu before the meal . .

The PG on the Volendam for the Asia Explorer cruise in 2018 offered a Taste of Tamarind menu. It consisted of approx. 4 apps and 4 mains. I believe it was one main per element. No sushi / sashimi. Even though is was limited it Was very good and a nice addition to PG menu.

I think it would have to be a limited menu like what you describe. Tamarind has its own kitchen. I think PG shares space with the MDR kitchen and there may not be enough room to prepare the many different dishes on the main menu.

Perhaps if they feature some dishes one time and others the next time to see what sells well .

Personally, I have have patronized Tamarind as well as Sel de Mer.  Both were stand alone restaurants and Tamarind has never "blown me away".  Very good?  Yes.  Rudi's concept for Sel de Mer, regardless of a stand alone or a pop-up restaurant, is more of a winner than a pop-up of a Tamarind.

Thank you SOOOO much for posting the menu & food pics!  We'll be sailing on E-dam in November, and have two nights booked at Tamarind.  My DH just said today "I hope they still have the wasabi soy tenderloin!"
