Parking a rental car overnight in port at Kahului Maui

We are in port overnight and considering renting a car. Can you park the car overnight at the port for use the next day? Has anybody done this before?

Not sure why the same time could not be taken to simply answer the question.

 

The current options I believe are to park at the airport for $15 (I think that price is current) and take a shuttle or Uber back to the ship, or to park at the Maui Beach Hotel for $10 which is about a mile from the ship and walk back.  I believe Avis and possibly Budget are the only car rental companies that still provide a shuttle from the port to the airport.  There is also an Enterprise within walking distance.
