John - First off, a little schmoozing. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed our 2 past trips on WIndstar and have made it our cruise line of choice. The ships, the food, the itineraries and especially the crew make for some great memories and great vacations. We are eagerly looking forward to our B2B on the Star Legend this November.

I am very happy to see the refitting of the Star class vessels. Looks like quite an upgrade to the public areas but also I like that Windstar is overhauling the engines to be more fuel efficient and eco-friendly. Are there plans to do same type of engine swap for the Wind class vessels?  I know that a Windstar cruise's "carbon footprint" is a baby's foot compared to some of the Goliath feet popping up everywhere these days, but every little bit helps.

Thanks for your loyalty and glad to hear we’ve become your cruise line of choice! The crew really are amazing. Good question on the sailing ship engines.  They actually already burn lower sulfur fuel and have forever, so no need or plans to change these engines. Plus, on average, we get about a 35% fuel efficiency from the sails helping us reduce fuel consumption and emissions.  Enjoy your November cruise!
