Stingray City

We are going to Antigua in November on Princess and we have booked this excursion. Has anyone done this one and if so how was it?

I didn't know there was a Stingray City on Antigua. You may be referring to Grand Cayman. Hope that helps.

There is an area which Tour Operators have cristined "City" to attract more punters.  It's  good on a small private tour, but unfortunately Cruise Line will max out on paying guests.  Therefore the area will be rammed with fins, that will outnumber the Rays. 

Not on par with Grand Cayman's City.  Consider it a village.  Therefore, TTE was correct.

it's referred to as Stingray City on all the maps i've looked at.  We are going on NCL in March, and I booked a Land Safai and Stingray City combo tour through Viator.  You can Youtube it as well, some great videos out there.

Absolutely loved it!

You can touch them, hold them and swim around in the waist high water.

...and feed them.  Just make sure the guides tell you exactly how.  You will be standing on sand, waist deep, and they swim around you.  Frightening, at first, but when they brush up against your leg they are as soft as a kitten.

Keep your hand flat... or you'll be wishing you didn't feed them lol.

 

On our tour we had a gentleman who must have had food residue on his upper arm, we'll the stingray sucked onto that and took a fair amount of skin off, probably a layer or two. 

 

For me, they never bothered me, except to check you out by rubbing into you as they swim by.
