Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We will aboard the Harmony in March docking at the Dr. A.C. Wathey Cruise & Cargo Facilities, St. Maarten's pier and cruise termina in in March.  It is my understanding the terminal is a good 20 minute walk, since I can only walk short distances, I am traveling with a scooter.  Is there accessible transportation from the port to the center of Philipsburg?

Suggestions of what to do in Philipsburg will be appreciated.

Thank you!!

You shouldn't need accessible transportation unless your scooter battery doesn't hold a charge.  You should be able to scoot right into town - don't know the distance...less than a mile?  If you can go up and down a couple of steps you can take the little ferry across...I have seen them help people on and load their scooter.  EM
