Ecstasy S&S Card Question

We will be sailing on the Ecstasy in the few weeks, and I was wondering if the Sign and Sail cards were going to be RIFD (contactless)  or the old school mag stripe.

No. Everything is either swiped or your folio # is input manually.

Carnival does not have RFID-enabled cards on any ships that I am aware of (unless it is the new builds).

I'm not a techie so not sure what RFID is but on the Horizon,  to unlock your cabin door, all you had to do was touch your card to the lock.

Since the Horizon is a new build, this is probably a new feature.  This is not a feature on older Carnival ships
