puertorican Posted October 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2019 From the news, starting today Tuesday 10/15/2019 Uber can pick you up at the SJU Airport after the Managing company that operates the airport reach an agreement with Uber. Here the instructions given by the Airport to reach to your Uber ride; "Simple Steps to follow to use Uber from the airport, the user goes to the ground floor of Terminal A or B of the airport. Here you will find an area properly labeled as a "Ridesharing" platform area. Once there, use the Uber application on your device to connect with the driver partner. The car will be identified as 'Uber' with a sign on its front glass". Hope this helps anyone who uses this platform. 4
Ms411 Posted October 17, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2019 Great news! Thanks for posting. I'll be there Fri, Oct 25, 2019. Perfect timing!
hrmkr Posted October 19, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2019 I read today that the taxi's were blocking the Uber's from coming to pick up their passengers in protest. Could get interesting. Thankfully, we do not fly into SJ until the end of November. They have over 1 month to battle it out.

soonernstlouis Posted October 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2019 On our trip last month, we used Uber 4 times and a taxi once (from airport to hotel). Uber was so economical & quick I don’t think I would ever use a taxi there again unless I needed one late at night. Remember to tip the driver well! bonsai3s Posted October 26, 2019 #6 Share Posted October 26, 2019 Courtesy update. Landed at SJU at 10:30am today. There was a sign stating "Rideshare" on the wall at baggage claim. We followed the sign and it took us UP to the ground floor. There was an airport employee assisting Uber passengers. She told us to use Terminal B as pick up point. The designated "Rideshare" spot was also clearly marked. It took less than 2 minutes for our Uber driver to show up! Disclosure: We are staying at the Embassy Suites very near the airport...Uber was $9.43. Perhaps the regular taxi was not much more...we weren't going far.......but we can now confirm that Uber is now an option at SJU. We did not have to deal with the taxi line. 😊
