Transatlantic ( cigarettes to purchase )

We are on Ocean Horizons Transatlantic and wondered if there will be cigarettes and tobacco for sale as we will be outside the EU ? We were on Discovery2 Transatlantic last year and they were on sale but wondered if rules had changed this year?

Yes they will We got our last lot this year at £15 per 200 when the special offer was on in April on TA and again in July when visiting Turkey

Not forgetting the allowance is 200 cigs pp. The staff on D2 last year tried to tell us it's unlimited.Even in the EU ,that's only the case if they are duty paid.

Thank you for your replies, we are stopping at Gibraltar too and I know that cigarettes are cheaper there too .

Gibraltar is duty free so again, only 200.

 

Be sure that you re buying genuine cigs.

A good warning - there are a lot of fake cigarettes sold in Gibraltar.

Yes ,thats one of the consequences when goverments get too greedy and keep hiking the taxes

Purchase at port shop,cheaper than anywhere in town and are the real mc coy

 

Purchased  more than 200 along with rolling tobacco without any issues.We were not transalantic but flying home from Palma
