So far, all is great onboard.  The crew are wonderful and our butler, as well as his assistant, are terrific!

I'll share more tomorrow, including our embarkation experience (which was painless!).

What is your butler’s name ? We are on 16 so wondering if we will get same one. Could you have champagne whilst in port or just wine?

Our butler is Wayan and his assistant is Marco.

We were able to have champagne.

Haven't checked out the rugby situation, but I very much doubt it'll be on the TV in the cabin.

23 NIGHTS! Man when I retire that's the kind of cruise that I want to take. DH on the other hand maybe not. 😀

Thx 4 your review. We're considering booking last minute for Christmas.

Enjoy your cruise.

No tv's in the sports bar? Thats an intersting concept. Pool table? Dart boards? Enjoy your first morning Bea hope the colours when you arrive in Canada are still stunning. We have really seen them change in the last week but Ontario is a little further south. Fingers crossed for you.

Good morning Bea... I was wondering why you were still in port when I went to bed. Thanks for the update!

As for the sports bar, I think it's more for the sports complex? Isn't the basketball / indoor court right there? It's by all the gadgets too including the bowling, arcade and such. I wonder if the pub down on the Promenade might be broadcasting it? Just a thought! Enjoy your day at sea and hope they're smooth so far!

CM ... never thought of the pub Doh!  As Emma's Gran has just said, it seems that we didn't miss much by not seeing Ireland's game this morning  - I think it would have spoilt the day!

Speaking of which ... the M&M is on this morning in the Sky lounge at 10am.

I've been told there are somewhere in the region of 480 Black card members onboard!

I've asked the concierge about the new colour cards.  He said they'll have them next week.

Thank you so much for the pics, Bea! Only 36 more days and I'll be working my way through that champagne menu! 🥂 We're also on deck 16. The thought of reaching around the corner to the Top Sail Lounge sold us! We're only a couple of doors down. Maybe I could buy one of those long armed grabber tools...

So ... let's get back to yesterday and the embarkation process for @marcoigna

We arrived at around 2pm and had our driver drive up the ramp and all the way to the end to pier 88 where the head butler, Larissa was stationed with YC luggage tags.  We were given sticky badges to wear so that the terminal crew would know we were YC guests and allow us priority passage through the terminal.

Our luggage was whisked away and we were led into the building and brought to the YC lounge for check-in where we received our cruisecards and wristbands.

We didn't have time to finish our bubbly before we were then led onboard where we were able to head straight to our cabin and drop off the hand luggage.

The sports tv's are in the Casino....from memory 8 medium sized TV's mounted above the circular bar.

We embarked around 1.30pm and it was also very smooth. The Butler's weren't happy with the shoreside porters as they weren't allowed to touch our bags.

All has been lovely so far and most importantly and exciting, we've met Bea 😁

Off to the M&M this morning.

What do you mean butlers not allowed to touch bags? I thought we had to take our cases to the yacht club stand and hand over there , not give to porters?

Thanks for taking time from your vacation and letting me know.

Glad to hear embarkation was nice and easy for you - gives me hope for next week 🙂

Have a great time!

Hi Bea - looks like all going very well - and boarding was a breeze - hope YC on this ship is what you were expecting.

question - in todays planner is there an LGBTQ get together - usually around 5ish?  i will assume formal night tonight.   Enjoy  😘😘

We were in YC onboard for her first Med sailing, Marco, so we knew what to expect.  Also, having a YIN on Seaview last month prepared us for this one and we're not having any problems, yet, with the cabin (though I haven't had a chance to unpack so won't know how storage is going to go).

Our bags were late arriving and came one at a time, with the last bag not appearing until 5.45pm.  I'll do it this afternoon 🙄

The get-together is at 6.30pm in the Sky lounge and, yes, you are correct, tonight is Elegant night.

Thanks, G.  I'm not one for the TV when on a ship so I wouldn't usually know where they're located.

@DCGuy64  The YC m'D is Luis Costa.  This is only his second cruise on MSC.  Talk about being thrown in at the deep end lol with so many complaints and unhappy guests last week.  He worked for Disney beforehand.  He's absolutely wonderful and really good fun.

The YC director is Idris Esergul.

Menus and food pics to follow.

Haven't been to Brass Anchor yet to see if they have Strongbow.

The sports bar looks cool but no tvs?  It isn't our thing but seems to be for many people.  Seaside had many and even that place was never very busy.

Having sailed DCL many times and experiencing wonderful crews, I'd think the guy from DCL will be able to take care of guests.

We went to the YC stand/area but a shoreside porter had to load on to a trolley. They were separate from the regular shoreside porters. Just head to the YC stand first and they'll arrange the luggage for you.

Thank you kindly for that. Now I’m wondering what country they’re from. I hope you are enjoying your voyage!

I received a status match to Black and have never sailed MSC before. Do those having Black status have a separate place to check in (similar to what those in YC have?) One of the benefits listed for us is priority embarkation , disembarkation and tendering. Do we use the same as that for YC?
