It's been awhile since I have been on NCL...

Do you still have to put cash in the slot machines, or can you upload from your room card?

Do they still have a separate card for the casino?

Thanks for any and all info.

Lisa

You can use cash, or charge to your room (plus a 3% fee).

Use your room key in the slot machines or get a separate casino card made.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just booked my first cruise on NCL.  I am used to Disney with no casinos.

I am a very light gambler - I like to play the penny slots.  I am hoping they have a few I could play.

Do you know if I bring coins or do they only take dollars?

I also saw somewhere that NCL is tied to Caesars... does that mean my Caesars card would work or is it a different card?  (just wondering if I need to dig out my old card).

Thank you

No coins.   The machines take denominations from $1 to $100.

You cannot use your Caesars card in the machine.  It will take your room key or you can ask the casino to make you a players card tied to your on board account.   Caesar's does send a lot of players on NCL cruises by offering them a cruise certificate.

If you have status with Caesar's, you could be eligible for a discount on your cruise.   I know there are discounts for Diamond & Seven Star Caesar's, but not sure if you get a discount for Platinum.

Thanks for the info!  I haven't been to a Caesars in years, but I have my card still.  I am a $10-$20 a day gambler at the most just to have a little fun with the slot games.  I will be sure to stash a few extra $20s in my wallet for the casino.   My MIL is my gambling partner and she won't be with me and DH does not gamble at all so I am sure my time will be limited playing.

Which ship are you going on?   You might be surprised at how 'Las Vegas' like the casino is on one of the newer bigger ships.

Hope you have a great cruise and some lucky extra fun in the casino🤞

We will be sailing on the Breakaway.  I have been watching videos about the ship and it looks like there are lots of slots.  I know the odds aren't in my favor, but it's fun trying 😄.

We don't sail until later next year, but NCL is new so I'm excited about the new experience and doing all my research now.

We sailed on Breakaway twice last year and had a great time.   Nice casino with lots of fun machines to try.

Have fun😎
