St. Martin Ferry Service & Mobility Scooter

My husband has recently begun using a mobility scooter to get around. We will be in St. Martin in November andI would like to know if the ferry from the cruise port to downtown can accommodate boarding with a scooter. Any information will be appreciated.

Are you talking about the water taxi?   If so, there are steps getting into it.  Some have reported success in having the water taxi crew lift their scooter into the water taxi.    Take a look at these two links:

I use a manual wheelchair and it was very easy and the staff was very helpful.

It can be done on the larger ferries but not the smaller ones. You may have to wait one of two ferries until a larger one comes along.

If you can't get on the water taxi, the ride to town is no big deal go out the main gate and make a left down the side walk

They lifted my dh’s rental scooter onto the water taxis earlier this year.
