Reminds me a bit of JWW Turner's harbor paintings....different shoreline (def no skyline in the distance), I know, but those are Turner clouds/sky if ever I saw them. 🤩👏

Who ever thought 1C was a sensible temperature to have on a Sunday morning, even in Winter?

 

Intrepid photographer off to see the sunset. 7.40am, so early. Melbourne city skyline and various yachts, Williamstown foreshore.

 

 

Someone put a bloody big ship in the way!!

I went around to the other side of our peninsula (Point Gellibrand)  and took some sunset photos Sunday evening. Looking over Williamstown Beach toward the oil refinery in Altona.

I gather that should have read "sunrise"? 😉 Nice shots BTW. I'm glad I took the ferry to Williamstown that day in February, nice place 🙂

With the new found knowledge that the morning bit is called sunrise, the intrepid photographer filled himself with coffee and headed off the 200 metres to the foreshore. Then wandered around the end of Point Gellibrand for different perspectives.

I love this thread! Sunsets are my favorite things.  I took this one as we were leaving Portland, ME last October. And that was when I was still using it in "point and shoot" mode.
