I never pictured you as having a boss.

Well, he is 4 generation $$$, and I have worked for the company for 32 years, and the last 8 running it for him.  He doesn’t have to work... I still do. 😂  Plus I have been married 38 almost 39 years, so really I have two bosses, and I have a 20+ year old cat...

crap... I am practically a domestique in the TDF.

Laura is an awesome crocheter! :classic_biggrin: Look at how perfect those stiches are! They are all the same size and just gorgeous. All I know how to make with a crochet hook are long chains of slip stich yarn. :classic_biggrin: Very impressive items and the hospital should be most appreciative.

The sailing excursion looks fun. I had it added to my cart and spent 10 minutes thinking about it. by then the decision was made for me. Lol . Next time I will not hesitate to do it. We had a stellar time again at Loterie Farm, it is so beautiful and I recommend it to everyone visiting t. Maarten.

Interesting. I wonder way the "of the Seas" name has anything to do with re-using the name.  They could easily apply the "Splendor of the Seas" name to one of their upcoming ships. Granted, it might cause some confusion but just throw the number 2 at the end ala Cunard (QE2, QM2....).

I'm not a fan of reusing names or even similar names between cruise lines.  When I tell people I sail on Liberty, they'll think of Carnival Liberty or if I say Royal, they think Royal Princess.  So now I just say the full name.

P&O have reused names for new ships.Arcadia was one that comes to mind.

Ok now I am really confused that we did not run in to each other. That is exactly where we watched Phoenix from. We were standing and then the 2 in the front chairs left. It is a great spot for Shows.

To funny.

You were to my right, I remember a couple coming in late. I pretty much stood on the rail for 90% of the show, then hung around at the end to talk to Nick

yes, we were downstairs with bad sight lines and headed over there. My husband was arguing that the other floors across the way were not the aqua suites and were more secret decks. He  left and walked all the way over there to. prove me wrong. He walked over and realized it was a suite but they invited him in to their party so he walked out on their balcony and waved to kiddingly prove me wrong, then headed back over.

He walked all the way back to the elevators and back down the passenger corridor and entered their balcony through their room?  That’s the only way onto any balcony other than the public balcony on deck 7

VISA Tropical Neon Night - Solarium Bar

Only one VISA event this year. Last year there were 4. 😥

20191106_095556.thumb.jpg.d6a6bb1c0a443a8e1a38ed4f74a2132d.jpg

Started at 5:30 and it was crowded.

20191106_095623.thumb.jpg.f47e56a097dcc81af251c77f36b1c52b.jpg

It was pretty, though

20191106_095641.thumb.jpg.635992b3c91f8b8a72d43ef11c024c6b.jpg

This was definitely the day I drank the most🍺🍹

Several of the cocktails had Red Bull in them

I probably should have skipped this coconut water thing.

20191105_184438.thumb.jpg.45c2bb079e4e216e5cbae838abf075e5.jpg

Lots of food and special cocktails.

20191105_184756.thumb.jpg.8369ba22e55cb203a9c9f307c1e1f704.jpg

Ice Sculptors, LED swag, etc.

I'm melting

20191105_185008.thumb.jpg.0531273fa7b41488f50a635c5439d2c9.jpg

We brought the glow sticks, the rings, and the wand.

20191105_184109.thumb.jpg.47b150e0b588d7727ead045baa9c9456.jpg

I gave away some glow sticks to folks who got there late, and I gave some of the VISA LED's to kids on promenade later

We didn't stay that long, wanted to see Ice show again

70's - 80's - 90's Decade Party

Really not much different than a typical street party.

It seems more folks dressed up than usual, that was fun.

I actually prefer Oasis because of the elevated bridge.

Not sure why Harmony and Symphony don't have that.

We got there a little early, but it was packed, so I grabbed a couple chairs from On-Air to wait for the start

20191106_113322.thumb.jpg.1b6d23142a92f7aafc40dde1856c1aa8.jpg

They gave away a few goodies, I missed the rings

20191106_091213.thumb.jpg.3a3a73261e304508b52e10be7ecfc1ea.jpg

We watched from the deck 6 overlook

It's really not a very good spot, but we were tired

Forgot something.

My only interesting picture from the ice show.

San Juan Sail Away - It rained

After we got back from Pinnacle Luncheon, I decided to grab a beer and head up to the suite deck for sail away

One of the cool things about visiting San Juan is the sail away

You go past El Moro, the Spanish fort.

Well we left late, and by the time we did cast the lines it had started to rain, so I missed it.

There is almost no cover up there, and the stairs are exterior. Not somewhere you want to be in the rain

So here are a few pictures I took before we left

20191106_154011.thumb.jpg.1696605d1f378f48f14502490193884b.jpg

Not El Moro😉

Castillo San Cristobal

Gray building right below it is where we had lunch. And yes, we rode a motor coach to get there. 🤣

Cool thing about 17 is you can see folks going down the slides

Forward. This area is quite a bit different than the first three. No cabanas, but tons of loungers

This is right above Hooked

Flight - Dare to Dream

Flight was at 9:30, so I went solo.

I got there fairly late, but since I was solo, I had no problem getting my preferred seat in front of sound booth

So I took a lot of pictures. Since no one is behind me, I don't think I bothered anyone.

It's interesting to see the Hairspray cast performing here.

And for those unfamiliar, the story works backwards. Starting in future and ending in the past.

both are must sees

Meal with an Officer - Day 6 at sea

This is different than the Pinnacle Luncheon in San Juan. That event is unique to a President's Cruise

Due to our large numbers, they held it in the MDR.

We had assigned tables. We were at Table 10

It was at the same time as a really nice seafood buffet down on Deck 3, so we missed that.

And it was the same menu as last week.

To top it all off, Laura booked me a 1:30 massage with Maria, so we had to hurry.

Our invitation. Now the photo shoot was cancelled since we did it during lunch in San Juan😁

20191106_113201.thumb.jpg.257e08b81f5dbcb78811214804d13527.jpg

It's a full house

20191107_163805.thumb.jpg.5fb0381aab1226f0bec639cba62eebba.jpg

We even had directions

20191107_163747.thumb.jpg.b515308e15b14c798a36dcd076bf16c2.jpg

Menu cover

20191107_163729.thumb.jpg.b82b8719cffd112f98d671a2eb7b8e46.jpg

I had the crab and the halibut again. Skipped dessert

20191107_163644.thumb.jpg.02d3b8d169bde229abc3e5b703608677.jpg

A lovely gift was waiting for us

Pretty cool crystal block. We have two, so if anyone has a Sovereign, Legend, or Splendour, let's talk.

Now, I may have missed out on a really good buffet downstairs, but I had this little baby all to myself.

And it was fun talking to Lazlo

20191107_163606.thumb.jpg.f20af7532486516f3b68bcba925b2c10.jpg

Made it to Maria in plenty of time.

I highly recommend a Swedish massage after a nice bottle of wine. 🍷

FWIW, the spa and casino were by far our biggest expenses for these two weeks

Speaking of Crystal Blocks.

I mentioned this on the Crystal block thread, but I'll share it here as well.

The image in the Symphony block is way different than the other three.

I've noticed it before, but thought it might be the way the JPEG is rendered.

It's not. The proportions are way off. It's like someone squeezed it Bow to Stern

Harmony block looks pretty much the same as Oasis and Allure except for the added slides

20191109_145416.thumb.jpg.1fe30f2d7e3842dfc58d4d84a1e0029f.jpg

Symphony is very cartoonish.  It does have a lot of detail, though.

20191109_145354.thumb.jpg.7df72c033c7d24c6d20f29fb5ff7921e.jpg

Oasis in real life, looks very similar to the Harmony block
