If a person has extra OBC ,then plays the slots with their sail card  & then cashes out what is left in the machine on their card at the casino cage ,what is to stop them from getting the cash ?

Nothing stops you from getting the cash, of course.

BUT, if you used non refundable OBC (OBC which is not to be used for casino play),  you will find that you are charged the amount you bet on your on board account.    That idea you are suggesting USED to work.  It no longer does.  HAL now distinguishes between the different types of OBC.

Ah I thought so . Thanks for the confirmation   .We don't frequent the ships casino ;because those slots are generally  tight as a drum . Depending on cruise length ,we organize a FUN Craps Roll with a entry of 24 people max at $15  per pax . Iy gives folks a chance to play for little money & have a Fun time .Besides the odds are so much better on a craps table vs the slot machines  .My travels on business for over 30 years with the Casinos & hotels in Las Vegas taught me about gaming odds  .That being said ,on one of our first cruises on a older Carnival ship back in the 90s I won  $300 on a nickel slot machine . Yes believe it or not they had nickel slots back then LOL😀

Out of $325 OBC ,we may have the &75  from the TA which could be refundable  . Got to check that one out  or just uses it in a gift shop or special restaurant

 Thanks for your input

The TA’s most likely is refundable.  When you get on board and check your shipboard account you will know what is not.  It’s Identified with - ‘not for use in the casino’ or some such language next to it.  Refundable OBC is simply listed with no conditions.
