Looks like it will be raining off and on, so I'm mostly bar hopping!

 

I'm at the outdoor bar of Bigwood on the Boardwalk drinking $3 rum and coke. Free WiFi. On Freedom of Seas same drink $10+! Here you can get a bucket of beers 6 for $10! Great deal for beer drinkers!

The beach closest to the ships has become very commercial with rows of chairs and umbrellas. Saw people in the water which used to not be the case years ago. The off and on rains are keeping some people off the beach.

Rainy weather can create storm runoff so keep that in mind when going to beaches.

Stopped at Irie Garden vegetarian restaurant for lunch because of their unique menu. Can't get this food on ship or at home unless I make it.😊

 

Ordered peanut soup and you can watch them as they make it fresh. Um, they do use Peter Pan peanut butter to thicken but it also has fresh peanuts. Served in ceramic dishes! No plastic/Styrofoam! Too hot for me to eat it right now so will report after I've tried it.

I forgot to mention most beers are $1.50 and peanut soup for $6.

The soup had broccoli, carrots, white potatoes, and West Indian sweet potatoes plus the peanuts. Very filling but West Indian sweet potatoes are very hard. The other vegetables were perfect crisp tender! I will try to make it when I get home!

It's still mostly raining but I'm going to slowly walk back to the ship and stop at local grocery for roti skins and cheese from Old Amste4dam for gifts.
