Black Friday sale....what is usually included?

Recommended Posts

This is an example of why you have to know what things cost.  The Deluxe Beverage Package isn't a deal for either of my 2020 cruises, but the Beach Club at CocoCay dropped from $54 to $39.  So some savings.

I do wish that we got the prices on the drink package that we used to get on Black Friday, but it's still a good deal.  Again, it's a matter of knowing your price point and what things are worth it to you.

These are not "fake" sales.  They are sales which were not profitable for YOU.  That doesn't mean that it isn't a good price for someone else.

Nor is there any promise, anywhere, that ALL things will be on sale.

Nah its pretty much a fake sale. Marginal to no discounts disguised as huge savings pretty much across the board

When the price stays the same but the % of the discount they offer that day is different. That IS a fake sale.

Do you really believe they change the price onboard the ship every few days to make those percentages real? 🙄

I can only share that on OotS for a Sept 2020 cruise there were no actual price reductions that haven't been in place for several weeks. I'm guessing it highly depends on the time of the sailing, the ship as well as who has purchased what for that sailing. Gonna keep an eye open through Monday to see if there's any change, otherwise I'll check each being sales period.

No deal for ANYTHING on my cruise that sails in February 2020. I actually got better prices on some stuff before today. Another "fake sale". Pretty disappointing!

ALL 6 of the excursions I had booked for my June 2020 sailing in Brilliance were on sale yesterday.  I only saved $261.62 on the excursions.  Every little bit helps.  I previously caught 2 price drops on the cruise.  The first was for $642 and the second was for $407.  Someone posted a thread on CC that there was a "sale."  I checked it out and fortunately it affected my cruise.  I am happy to take the $1,310.62 savings since booking the cruise.

Are the photo packages per cabin or per person? The black friday sale offers a significant savings (down from $249 to $119) - and if that's per cabin - i'll grab it.

Best deal of the cruise!

Trying to make sure my wife doesn’t see this.

The Deluxe Beverage is still $61 for Oasis in March.  It has not dropped below $60 for this cruise.   I did grab Voom S&S 2 Devices for 17.99/day which has been the lowest I've seen for this cruise.   I had it booked before Black Friday at 22.50/day.  Also looks like excursions on Labadee were lower in price.  I doubt if other ports will have any discounts.

Obviously, you didn’t read my post.  I did not say anything about Black Friday.  The UDP math has been incorrect on our Cruise Planner for quite some time.  I wanted the reps to realize that the cost advertised, $20 per day X 14 days, did not equal $336 and correct their advertising - one way or the other.  That’s all!  THEY were the ones who couldn’t grasp simple math and kept bringing up their Black Friday sale.

Did you take into account the 18% gratuity?
