Black Friday sale....what is usually included?

Can someone tell me what are the deals usually rolled out on Black Friday.  Are there deals on beverage and dining packages or just deals on bookings.

Last cyber Monday I got the dining plan for $126 pp from $175 pp. Right now it’s been between $175 on sale to $199 regular pricing so I am expecting it to drop to the 150 mark that day. FYI Cyber Monday was cheaper then Black Friday.

The beverage package was around 47 per day but it was 47 on multiple sales from when I booked so to me there was no real sale on it.
Since I have the $18 package on both 2020 sailings I have not paid much mind but it’s been ranging from 57-65 per day since I booked.

Many stores started their "Black Friday" sales already. For RCI I don't need to check before next Friday, right?

You never know with RC, I'd be checking all the time.

What I find interesting is the 35% off sale now on our drink package is $51 pp   I bought it months ago at 20% off for $51 pp.

Percent off is "up too amount" more than likely the same percent off on the drink package you were looking at.

I'm hoping to see some better rates on the cruise planner for our Symphony of the Seas cruise in Feb 2020.  It seems like everytime I look they just keep getting higher and higher.  Of course we ARE on the biggest ship.  I should've booked the waterpark back almost a year ago.  $64.99, now the cheapest I've found is $88.99.  I have to buy for 6. Really hoping for some good deals.

I think a lot of the prices depend upon the ship one is sailing.  On Oasis class ships, it appears prices are higher than other classes of ships.

Last BF I was able to get the DDP for $47 a day for our Harmony Jan cruise.  A couple of weeks before the cruise, I saw a price of $46 a day, but it wasn't worth it to me to cancel and rebook for that small difference.

The UDP, which my family enjoys was reduced from $175 to $155 so we did take advantage of that as I was not the only one using that package.  With that sale, I was able to get the UDP package for our June Allure cruise for $126 per person which, I know, won't happen again.

I have a couple of cruises for next year and am waiting to see what, if any, prices will be lower.  I am hoping so, but if there is no lower price than $215 for my Symphony cruise for the UDP, I may have to think about it.

VOOM Surf and Stream for one device on the Adventure 12/7/19 sailing was $11.99 for a while.  I opened the cruise planner yesterday and had a notation that the price on something in my cart had changed.  The price is now $14.99; I wonder if it was raised in advance of putting it on “sale” on BF.  The rise in the price actually saved me $11.99 a day, as I was undecided and the $14.99 helped me to decide that Diamond internet benefits will be plenty.

Wednesday before thanksgiving is also a great time to check cruise prices. As well as Black Friday and cyber Monday. We enjoyed great deals from each of these over the past few years. Checking multiple websites. Some even offering cruise price tracking. Not supposed to advertise these websites so do multiple websites search.

Should you consider a water park cabana?  I believe they're currently listed at $499 (for my March 2020 cruise at least) and I think 6 passes are included.  I'm new to RC - so someone else here can probably confirm.  Good luck!

You would't think so with all the store flyers and radio adverts going on now.  Soon it will be Black November, as retailers struggle to break even.

Kinda that way now. 40yrs ago I worked in a Mall Toy Store. Our Sales were 85% from Thanksgiving until Xmas Eve. The new Toys R Us put store out Business the next yr. Like Walmart/Amazon has to thousands others. And now most buy online and BEFORE Thanksgiving. I know some already done with Xmas Shopping. Black Friday just isnt deal was 5-10yrs ago...

Does anyone know what time to start looking for the Black Friday sales?  Midnight?

They recently had a Veterans Day sale, and it was stretched over 3-4 days, not just one day.  I would just check once or twice a day, and if you have a cruise booked, check your cruise planner for discounts/sales.  🍷

Darn it!! I hope you get good deal on Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday!  The CocoCay waterpark looks wonder, but I don't think it's a full size waterpark (maybe I'm wrong here).  I'm disappointed to see the pricing so high.  $40 sure, but $88 - yikes!!!

I'm hoping for discounts on drink packages, dining, and maybe spa services.  *fingers crossed*

I did notice a that an onboard credit was added to my cabin class for my sail date - and I was able to get an extra $75 - that would amount to a 14% discount on your crew's water passes.  If you have more than one credit - maybe you can double  (or more) that credit amount.  Good luck!

In addition to the RC deals, another thing to look for during Black Friday/Cyber Monday are sales and discounts on airfare and hotels.  I don't live near a port so I always have to factor travel into my cruise trips, and during that sale weekend I was able to snag two roundtrip Delta tickets for about $410 total (taxes/fees incl) and a $150-$200 dollar-a-night hotel (Marriott Residence Inn) for $90 a night.  It's definitely my favorite time of year for deals.

AGAIN, can someone explain why the % changes but the price never changes? Internet price at 55% off was the same at the 25% off? Why would I buy it at 55% off when price never dropped?  I am confused! This is the first time I have looked into purchasing things ahead of time and its crazy to look at the prices everyday and not see the actual $$ amount go down.
