Are sweaters needed for night in hot climates?

It can get cool. Think of wind chill out on deck, if you are cruising at 15 knots into a 15 knot wind, that is a fair bit of wind about 35 mph or 55 km/h if my maths is right. Inside of course the air con is pumping away, I always take a light jacket Mrs G does too but also generally a light wrap.
