First TA Questions

We took a train between Southampton and London (Waterloo Station), and there were frequent departures. Didn’t take long, about 1.5 hours. The train station is a short taxi ride from the cruise ship piers.

In London, I’m fond of the Morgan Hotel in Bloomsbury very close to the British Museum. (We could see the museum garden from our room’s windows.) It is very reasonably priced for London. Note it does not have an elevator, but the porter cheerfully takes your bags up the stairs. An enormous English breakfast is included in the price.

We have always used National Express.  These coaches are very comfortable and we have gotten fares of £5 one way.  The station is just a short taxi ride from the pier.

In London we stay at Marriott Maida Vale. It is not that close to central London but there is a train station not far from it.
