Beware of Purse snatchers and pick pockets in Barcelona

One Lady in our party had her purse stolen while sitting at an outdoor restaurant on Las Ramblas.  She did not even notice until she finished eating.  We dodged many pickpocket attempts of the bump and grab variety.  Please enjoy this wonderful and historic city, but please stay smart and alert.

Sorry to hear that.   Hopefully she had her valuables in a money belt!

I always keep my crossbody purse on and would never sit it on the ground or hang it on a chair...you're just asking for trouble.

Sorry this happened to her hopefully next time she'll be a bit more aware.

 

We just last May spent a few pre-cruise days in Barcelona as we have many times before always aware of our surroundings but never so paranoid as to not enjoy this city.

Please be aware crossbody purses can be stolen.  Still used a money belt for valuables!
