In Toronto Posted November 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Are there stones, rocks, coral in the water at Mambo Beach? Will I need water shoes? Thanks.

Charles4515 Posted November 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2019 To expand my answer. The stones are near the edge of the beach when you enter the water. If you walk further in the water the bottom is sandy. I had to wear my water shoes as my feet are sensitive. I can't stand those first steps without protection. YMMV. The beach is calm because they have built a rock wall. All the beaches in that area I have been too are like that with the stones at the edge. I have been to Mambo a few times. It has been more crowded every time and more commercial. We will be in Curacao in December and I am browsing around for another beach. When we do Curacao we don't spend the whole day at a beach, only a couple of hours, since we find it an interesting port on its own.
In Toronto Posted November 5, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Thanks, Charles. I also have sensitive feet (my DH can walk on anything!) so I will bring my water shoes. We are the only ship in that day (as per the 2 websites I checked) so hoping that the whole area will not be crowded. Ellen
