Shir Hayam Posted November 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Our first Viking Ocean cruise is coming up in a few weeks although we have done many Celebrity cruises. On Celebrity, their hair dryers require that you continuously hold the "on" button down for them to work. Very annoying! What are the Viking hair dryers like? Do they have "on" switches that stay on until you switch them off? Thanks. Sheila

You can only use them (or any other hair appliance) at the desk not in the bathroom.
pacruise804 Posted November 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Great to know dryers on Viking are powerful. I can usually make do on other ships, but they really seemed more like hot air versus moving air.
jiminyC_fan Posted November 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2019 I have long, thick curly hair. Viking's hairdryers work perfectly for me.

Mich3554 Posted December 21, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2019 I love Viking’s hair dryers. I have long, very thick hair and they dry me quickly. And no, you do not need to hold the on button down.
lonagarr Posted December 29, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Great hairdryers, and since they can not be used in the bathroom, being able to sit at the desk instead of standing in the bathroom is an added luxury!
PlanoTim Posted December 31, 2019 #8 Share Posted December 31, 2019 Do the hair dryers have a low/high heat setting? Do they have low/high speed settings? Thanks, Tim
