Is someone asleep at the PCP office?

We are scheduled to sail on the Regal Princess December 1-8.  Today I got an e-mail and a phone call telling me I could have a free inside cabin on the Sky, sailing December 1-4!  As yet my husband and I have not figured out how to bi-locate.  Any suggestions?// 💓

I don't think this offer has anything to do with your original cruise.     It sounds like at some point you did some gambling on another cruise.   I agree with Voljeep that this sounds like a casino offer.   Computer probably just picked your name and no one bothered to check to see that you were already on a cruise on those dates.   Shame you couldn't go.   Free is good.

I tried once by putting a dollar in a machine on my last cruise.     Funny they never called me.   I'm insulted.   LOL

I received this offer and at least in my case, it was from the casino. The email was time stamped 8:45 p.m. last night and I called this morning about booking. I was on hold for periods of from 10 minutes to 45 minutes waiting for someone to answer. I did have other things to do so had to keep calling back. Finally around 1 p.m. I was able to get through. While waiting I booked the offer as a hold (only the second time I've been sent a casino offer that you could actually book online) to save my cabin of choice.

Unfortunately as early as 8:30 a.m. there were no insides left online and in the end I paid to upgrade. The cost was $60 pp plus $105 pp tax/port fees (yes, TOTAL for 2 = $330). I got a category BA for that price. Mini suites were available for $90 pp. plus t&p. The offer also included $50 casino free play. Both December 1 and 4 were available. Since we'll be getting off a Royal Caribbean ship on the 1st, that's the date I booked. We will Uber from the RC terminal to the Princess terminal to drop off bags however, we'll have to find something to do during the day since the ship will not be leaving port until 10 p.m. They are asking cruisers not to show up until 5 p.m. due to Coast Guard inspection (although I didn't know this until after I booked). A couple of hassles but overall I'm extremely happy to get on the new ship for dirt cheap 🙂

I called this morning just to see ... closed until 9 am EST - will call back and see what's available, if anything since I didn't get the email directly

I too received an offer for a free interior cabin on either the Dec. 1 or 4th sailing, but somewhere in the offer, it must have said 2020, as they sent out a correction email yesterday with the subject heading, "Oops… your free interior on our new ship is for 2019!"

Sadly, this is very short notice for us, and $105 in port fees for Princess Cays seems silly when the port fees for our 10 day sailing next February, with stops at 6 ports including Princess Cays is just $159.50

Yes, I thought the supposed tax/port charge was rather high. On a 7 day Regal for March, the total is $156.80 and includes a stop in Princess Cay in addition to Grand Turk, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. 10 day on Crown Princess in October was $146.60 stopping at Princess Cay in addition to 5 other ports...I think I noticed when I first started cruising that those fees are made up. I won't complain though since the overall price is still very good.

Princess website is mostly useless today for booking either cruise ... all balcony rooms SOLD ? yeah right

I'll keep checking back, but don't expect any thing until after the Monday holiday ...

worthless ... and getting fed up actually now ...

I saw the same thing initially, until I signed in, and then entered the number of passengers. Currently I'm seeing interiors, balcony, and minis available for both dates. If they didn't make you an offer of a free or discounted cabin, the cruises might just show up as being "sold-out".
