Ft Lauderdale hotel

Any suggestions on a hotel near airport and cruise terminal.  Would prefer to find one at about $200 that is decent.  Last time I used Holiday Inn Express and it was not very nice.  Any suggestions appreciated.

We love the Hyatt place 17th street.  Near port, publix and restaurants.  Not sure when you are going so don’t know what price would be.

Take a look at Embassy Suites. The cost of the room does include a wonderful breakfast and an evening reception.

We have stayed at both the Hilton Marina and the Renaissance (both on 17th street near Port Everglades) and would recommend either of them.

The Hyatt Place and the Embassy Suites are good places to check on prices.

There's dozens of hotels... I have lots of friends that have stayed at the Hilton, so that's where I booked for our night before our cruise.  It's really a pick your own adventure based on what your comfortable price point is.

What time of year?  The month you are staying is a big deal.

 

There is a huge swing in price between February and September.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Oceanside Inn two years ago and are due to stay there again next week (yes!!! ). It's close to the beach, shopping, eating, drinking and water taxi. And it also has a very decent included breakfast.

Do you know what the difference is between Hyatt Place and Hyatt House?

The difference is the Hyatt place is more of a hotel and each room has a sofa bed.  A Hyatt house is like a residence inn.  More for extended stay..

We love Hampton Inn Plantation.  Free pick up from hotel and small charge to take shuttle to port.  Good breakfast buffet, nice rooms  and decent pricing.

Love the Mall across  the street and all the restaurants.

The rooms in the low rise building at the Hilton Marina aren't worth what they charge. The tower rooms are much better.
