Amex Platinum now offering cancellation/interruption insurance

I just got notification from AMEX (i have a business plat card) that they are now offering the same coverage as the Sapphire Reserve.  I was about to ditch the card.  No more.  For trips over 40K I can piggyback the two cards for full coverage for the two of us.  I am betting Amex was under pressure to match that Sapphire benefit.

More details for specific cards are here.  The one benefit that jumps out at me is that they cover any "traveling companion" - not just family or domestic partner - and the traveling companion's family (in case of sickness, trip cancellation).  Obviously this benefit is not needed for everyone.  Starts January 1, 2020.
