Thank you so much, OP!! Best news I've had all month!

It showed up for both our Platinum card and also Amex Everyday card, but once added to the Platinum card, it disappeared from the Everyday card's available offers. However, suddenly a Celebrity offer for $150 off a $500+ purchase showed up.

I didn't have it on my card but I did use the back door site from before and it worked. Here it is:

It gave me a "sorry" message, but offer appears added to my card.  Unfortunately it has to be for a new booking; I have 3 upcoming already and not sure if I will book another in the meantime.

Thank you for the link to try!

So what can I purchase with this?  Anything from the Princess site?  A shore excursion for example?

Yes you can buy something on your Cruise Personalizer i.e. OBC, shorex, coffee card, etc.  I have also used it to make a cruise payment.

I was able to add this offer to my card.  Was debating about putting some OBC on my account to cover, but I wasn't sure about something.  We are doing a back to back, but booked at different times, and have different booking numbers, I called Princess and they linked them, whatever that means.

But does anyone know, if I add OBC via this Amex offer to my first week, could it be carried over to the 2nd week?  I don't want to have them refund it and the offer not be valid anymore.  If you do a back to back, can your unused OBC be carried over to the 2nd week?

Yes the back door link works.  Thanks.

Hasn't worked for me, but I'll keep trying. It says I bet you were expecting an offer even after it shows the offer and I click on it. All it has seemed to do is add Regent Seven Seas to the Celebrity offer already there.

Try using the American Express app.  I could not see it using web site but could using app.

WOW!!!!!  Saw this thread Friday morning, checked my AMEX "everyday" card and it was there.  Since I've already paid off the cruise, bought $500 in OBC through the Princess website..

Checked my AMEX account this morning (two days later) and the $100 credit is already posted!

THANKS OP!

Awesome! Glad you could use it! It's a great deal. My statement credit posted the next day so yes it's fast.

Anyone Tried Buying Casino Credit and get the credit? Thanks otherwise for sure with the new offer it works for purchasing onboard credit on the Princess Website? Will they use up the non refunable credit fist? I have $400 from my reservation and have used $260 so far on excursions or Worst case can I charge things at the casino to my shipboard account and use the onboard credit for my account? Sorry for all the questions and help. In the past with these offers I have always had a cruise balance to pay but I don't have that right now.

I have never bought casino credit so don't know about that. Yes you can buy OBC in your Cruise Personalizer and they always use up the nonrefundable OBC first. Anything left that is refundable will be mailed to you as a check a few weeks after your cruise.

I just used it as I added it with the link to my Delta card. I have a different log in for the Hilton card but AMEX now knows that. So I was only able to use once. I purchased OBC off the Princess page. Our cruise is booked thru …. X.... so I wasn't sure if that would show up as a payment to X or a payment to Princess so this seemed the better option. Thanks! Now to wait for Princess to offer a gift card offer before the holidays to take off a little more.

BLAKE:  that's exactly what I did - bought $500 casino OBC.  The credits showed up immediately on my Princess account.  Then the $500 AMEX account showed the $500 debit and a $100 credit.

To answer your other question, I've done this in the past and there were casino vouchers in your cabin, which you took to the casino and they exchanged for cash.  Now I understand you load the money onto your account upon your first trip to the casino......but then I'm assuming you can cash out afterwards.

Hope that helps!

Can you use this to purchase FCC's while onboard?  Anyone tried that?

I believe the offer states you have to purchase thru the Princess website......but maybe you could buy the OBC thru the website, then purchase the FCC's when you sail from your onboard account?

I don't think you can purchase FCC with OBC, seemed you always had to have it charged to your card.

OK thanks......didn't know that.  I always just charge it to the room and pay it afterwards.

I usually have a bunch of OBC, but wasn't aware how they settled it out.  I just make sure I don't leave anything behind!
