Quick Stop- Calm waters- Escambron or El Alambique Beach

We will be docked in San Juan from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

in February 2020. We would like to go to a beach that has calm

water and umbrella and chair rentals. I know Escambron is closer to the port but I am unsure if it has rough

water. Also, how much would a taxi cost to each beach?  Are there taxis available if we leave the beach

by 11:30 a.m.to return to the port or where can we find a taxi? If there is another beach that is highly

recommended, I am open to suggestions.

I don't see a link to Stinger's response. Escambron is not calm. Don't know where the other beach is.

What are your other ports? Have you been to San Juan before? If you want to get out and stretch your legs for a few hours then I would head over to the forts (El Morro is my favorite), rent a bike and ride the bike path to escabrom, or walk around Old San Juan and explore. I love a good beach and snorkeling but with 4 hours I would never waste it on the beaches that you mentioned.
