podgeandrodge Posted November 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2019 We have received $84 x2 Refundable onboard credits while onboard. Not sure why, and reluctant to query and hand it back haha. Any ideas?

MeHeartCruising Posted November 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Usually odd amounts refunded while on board are for the port taxes/fees associated with a missed port or a port change after payments were made. Although, $84 per person seems higher than most port fees I've seen.

Then you can spend as you wish.
don't-use-real-name Posted November 18, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2019 The KEY WORD here is REFUNDABLE - thus it is refundable in $cash$ or can be used to offset the DSC. If left over at the cruise end - you can get cash on leaving the ship or have check mailed to your address on file record. To be refundable it must have been something that you paid for in advance i.e. cancelled shore excursion. 1
Tristianna Posted November 18, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2019 Just got off the Escape on Saturday and had the same thing happen. Only $82 x4. We are a family of four, had no excursions booked, gratuities were prepaid, and I have no idea what it was for but we sure spend every penny of that $328.

And like me, I presume you didn't go off enquiring as to why!
