That is not correct.  You must be playing (at least sitting) at a machine or a table to get drinks on the DOU.  You can go where ever you want once the drink is in your  hand.  Ain't no one watching the exits to see who sneaking DOU drinks out

Carnival customer service has been really good, except when explaining the nuances of programs like this.  Didn’t think there were people policing comings and going’s.  Also, appreciate the feedback about the card.  Basically, they want to trap you with the alcohol and have you make bad decisions while drinking! 😂

My recent casino experience.  YMMV:

In December I cruised under a casino offer. $50 OBC, Drinks on Us card, and $50 freeplay.

The $50 OBC was split between my husband and I - $25 each.

The DOU card was only for me. It could only be used through a waiter in the casino. I could not walk up to the casino bar and get a drink with it. I did not have to meet the qualifying points before using it (but I have seen "offers" that stated that you did -so watch the wording!).

The freeplay was only in 10 $5 "Funplay" chips. I could not get it loaded onto my card for use in a machine.

I have checked several times with Carnival that both my wife and I qualified.  We did both get the offer, it just happens to be my name on the booking.  I’m concerned that once we get on the boat, it’ll change.

It won't.

You and your wife are on the booking. Boarding passes confirms that.

Do you get your freeplay chips at the casino cashier or at the gaming tables?
