Cruisefanatic71 Posted November 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2019 I am going on a Christmas cruise on the Liberty leaving on Dec. 23rd. My wife had a few questions about decorations. We know that anything brought on has to be fire retardant and we cannot plug in Christmas lights in the cabin. My wife saw a flame retardant battery operated Christmas tree that she wanted to bring. What has everyone that has decorated their cabins with? Can you share any pictures. Also, my wife and 17 year old daughter want to take pictures in onsies (pajamas). Are they going to have Christmas backgrounds for pictures? Thank you everyone for your feedback.
takemetothecruiseship Posted November 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2019 They had Christmas backgrounds during the formal night pics last year on the Conquest.....
TrqoisWtrs Posted November 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2019 (edited) I brought some foil-type wrapping paper and covered my entire door. Then picked up a couple stockings and snowman decoration to add top of that. Also brought some of those gel clings to put on my mirror. Dollar store is great for all this stuff - at the end of the cruise I just took down and tossed out. I would totally wear the onsies. 👍 Anything goes - you will not be out of place even just walking around. 😄 I cruised last Christmas and they have multiple Christmas festivities in the lobby - I got a really cool Carnival Santa hat and 'bracelet' type jingle bells they were handing out for free. Enjoy! Edited November 18, 2019 by cruisin*tigger

odis Posted November 18, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2019 We decorated our door last year and had battery operated lights on it. As long as it is battery operated, it shouldn't be a problem.
CMWITTS@GMAIL.COM Posted December 17, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2019 The last two Christmas cruises we were on,(Celebrity Reflection 2018 and Holland America Eurodam 017, we brought a 4 ft artificial tree on board and had it plugged in when we were in the room. No one ever said a word except to admire the tree.
serene56 Posted December 17, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2019 Just remember the cabin is only so big (185 sq feet) and the only counter is on top of the vanity. a battery operated tree will work
