Streetcars

Is it possible to catch a streetcar anywhere near the cruise terminal for Carnival? We have a late flight and will be storing our luggage

before our flight but wanted to tour the area some. ???

The Riverfront streetcar to Julia Street gets you pretty close but I'm not sure if it's open right now. They closed it to work on the new Four Seasons and I know they're still working on it. I'm not sure if they've opened those stops up or not.

Where are you storing your luggage?

 

Walk up the port street to the bottom of Poydras and then a little farther to the bottom of Canal St. (10 min. walk) and you can catch the streetcars there.

Is it possible to take luggage on the streetcar? We will be going to a hotel near the streetcar line when we get off the ship and wonder if it is an option for getting to the hotel.

Street cars a pretty limited and crowded.  Depending on your hotel the taxi ride can be very inexpensive.  They have always had lots of taxis waiting to take folks wherever they need to go post cruise.
