Luggage update

When we stated cruising with Thomson many years ago the allowance was 23 kg hold and 5 kg hand baggage.

 

Then it was 20 kg hold and 7 kg hand baggage.

 

Now it's 20 kg hold and 10 kg hand.

 

Wish they would just go back to the original.  Not many people can manage 10 kg hand luggage or even lift it up to the overhead lockers. 

 

Quite often the overhead lockers are full and the bags have to go into the hold anyway.

Some people's hand luggage may contain valuable or breakable items or medication and that's why they have packed it in their hand luggage, only to see it taken off the plane and put in to the hold, and not a lot they can do about it.

 

If there is an easy way to do things and a difficult way Tui will always choose the difficult way.

But then it's all about the ££££

Yes and don't forget if valuables go missing from the hold you are no insured mainly because you do not have sight of them🙄

Checked in yesterday for a flight next saturday ,it was still saying max 23kg ,typical TUI IT department ,probably take them about three years to update everything.
