How come there is not any activity on the roll call for this cruise? 
Does anyone know if we need Visa for China or we can get 144 hour free Visa??

Looks like from Hong Kong, you are going to three Chinese ports, Shanghai, Beijing, and Dalian, before going to Japan.  

 

You will need a multiple entry Chinese visa.  

 

Visa free visits requires you to stay within a certain geographic area around the Chinese entry port, say Shanghai, and depart directly to another country, Japan.

I don't cruise in Asia, but visit the in-laws every couple of years in Southern China.  From there we take side trips to other places.

Philob... do you know if its possible to qualify for free transit visa if you only visit Shanghai and dibr go ashore in Tianjin or Dalian? Lots if conflicting info out there.

Doesn't matter.  You travel into Chinese territory three times, you have to leave for a third country after the first port.

Thanks for your quick reply. Apparently we qualify for the free 15 day cruise passenger visa as long as we have a tour booked upon arrival in Shanghai.  https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai/15days-visa-free.htm
