bj24 Posted December 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2019 My captains club account indicates I can put a hold on a cruise for 24 hours. However, when I do a booking I do not see a hold option. The online booking form requests my credit card info and a deposit. I don’t see a hold option anywhere. Do I have to call Celebrity to take advantage of this option? Xfedcruiser Posted December 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Go through your booking through selecting the cabin you desire, then click on "Next" and then look at the upper left of your screen for the Celebrity Cruises logo. Click on that, and one of the choices should be "Courtesy Hold."
bj24 Posted December 9, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Thank you! I never would have found that.
NantahalaCruiser Posted December 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2019 If you intend to use the "one category upgrade" loyalty benefit, consider putting a hold on both your desired cabin and one in the lower category - especially if there is low availability of cabins in the lower category. The upgrade benefit requires an available cabin in the lower category; so placing a hold on one in the lower category guarantees you will be able to take advantage of the loyalty benefit. clskinsfan Posted December 10, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 10, 2019 It also usually pops up for me if I do a mock booking and attempt to leave the page. A pop up should come up offering the courtesy hold.
