Grande anse water taxi, take a right or left turn?

Recommended Posts

When getting of grande anse water taxi I'm  sure I'll  get loads of offers for beach chairs etc from vendors etc

Should I turn left up the beach or right

I'm looking for comfy chairs and a nice spot on the  beach for a swim and  snorkell,  shallow entrance into water and a drink

Any advice please

If you wish to experience the Babylon madness (complete with T'erds) of Grand Anse then take the Water Taxi.

The whole process from a Q out, beach vendor hastle, the noise of hundreds (thousands), and the possible long wait sitting on your water taxi waiting for it to fill before return is not pleasant to some.  Remember, as bars can charge for use of toilets if not patronising, the Grand Anse sea area can be considered the Caribbean's largest urinal.  Going for a swim?

If a genteel cruiser and require a much better beach experience, the take a taxi to Plywood.(or another).  This way you'll have a wonderful true experience of the Island and it's people.  No T'erds. No Babylon.

Look at it this way.

By the time you've walked from the ship to the Water Taxi, Qd patiently for the Water Taxi, arrived at the beach, walked hundreds of yards, being stopped and hastled along the way by bed vendors, trying to find a quiet spot, you could have taken a comfortable taxi ride over the hill, to a beach full of quiet spots, and on your bed.
