Two suggestions for great excursions in Victoria, BC - Carriage Ride & High Tea

We were on the RC Ovation in May and had a short stop in Victoria. We didn't see anything we were super excited about by way of excursions, so we walked into Victoria and checked out the city. We came across a woman at a podium offering horse drawn carriage rides, so we took an hour tour, it was awesome! We then went across the street to the Empress Hotel and had high tea, also wonderful! We didn't have reservations for either of these places, they were very last minute, but I can recommend both whole heartedly. So, if you're looking for something to do that's not offered by your cruise, and you like horses/scenery/good food, check these out. I did write blog post reviews of both, you can google Ty The Hunter and find everything under the Cruises tab, if you like. I hope it helps! Have a great time in Victoria! PS - I'm not a travel agent, affiliated with these tours, or anything of the sort. I'm just a gal who likes to travel and enjoys blogging about it. 🙂

Couple of points to consider. The OP may have meant "Afternoon Tea" as opposed to "High Tea", as high tea is more a full meal, with the treats. In addition to the Empress, which is touristy, you have other options.

Our preference in Victoria is the White Heather Room for Afternoon Tea. Fair bit cheaper than the Empress and similar standards.

I would suggest going all in at the empress with the champagne tea myself! Did that once and it was awesome.
