Norwegian Joy stop at Costa Rica?

Hello.  There are 18 of us sailing on the Joy, February 2 through 14, going through the Panama Canal, with a stop in Costa Rica.  I've been reading some reviews and some people have said the ship is too large to stop at Costa Rica.  Is this true?  We have a non-cruise line excursion planned, and I really need to know if this is true.  Thanks!

It says Limon, Costa Rica will be one of our stops, but after reading a bunch of (bad) reviews on CC, it said they didn;t stop there.  I wondered if anyone on here did this trip and if so, did you stop in Limon?

What were the complaints critic of the stop or no stop at Limon ?

Directed at ship being too big - perhaps tender only ???

Port facilities deficient

Something would be odd here with NCL posting a scheduled port stop at Limon and skipping it ?

A lot of sea days going and coming - but a very interesting itinerary

There are many reason a ship skips a port. The ship being too big is not one of them. 
 

Weather, wind, currents being a consideration. Consider the Carnival Glory.

We didn't stop in October,  water (tide, seasonal?) was too shallow,  was the explanation I recall
