Checking in. To satisfy DH's need for statistics I did some checking and, if all ships are at capacity, there are over 23,000 passengers heading out today. The largest is the Allure (5402) and the smallest is Pacific Princess (674).

and say an average of 1 checked in suitcase each x $3 tip per suitcase = a lot of money changing hands!
