CocoCay Thrill Cabana access without waterpark pass?

Just making sure I understand.....

 

We're a party of 10 - 4 kids, 6 adults.  The water park is mostly for the kids.  My parents would definitely NOT use any of the water park facilities, but would definitely make use of our cabana.  This is not possible without them purchasing a separate pass for Thrill, do I have that correct?

No.    I think most all the cabanas are separate purchase from the thrill park. 
just thrill park water cabanas are combined.     But then it’s got 8 people.   
I don’t know if you can have more than 8.

We have not been there yet but my understanding is as follows:

 

Thrill Water Park area requires admission to be paid at the gate.  The Thrill water park cabanas are in the gate and only accessible by those who have paid.   

 

The water park cabana seems to come with 6 admissions (where I think the beach club ones are 8?).   For all 10 of you to use the water park / cabana - you would need the cabana plus 4 passes.

Yep, that's my understanding too.  Probably just going to do two cabanas and hope they stick us side-by-side.
