Port shuttle buses

Has recently has April 2018 we had a shuttle service in Malaga but it was a good few years ago in Cartagena.

I will be visiting Porto, Portugal in May on the Pursuit.  I am trying to find out how far the centre of town is from the port and if there is a shuttle to town.  Has anyone visited this port recently that might know?

Last spring there was a shuttle that took us from the port to a parking area on the Douro within a very short walking distance to the main intersections that led up to the Cathedral, train station etc.

 

I can't remember the time it took to reach the parking area, but it wasn't far and very convenient.

 

Porto of course is smaller but has a more prosperous feel than Lisbon.

 

Lots of places to eat as you walk along the Douro.

That is very helpful. Thank you.  We would like to take one of the Sandemann walking tours of Porto as we have done their tours in several other locations and have been happy with them. Our only concern was getting ourselves into town but it sounds like we will be OK.

I am thinking that it was about a 30 minute shuttle, but others may correct me.

Just returned from New Zealand and have to say every port had a shuttle bus, really well organised, only thing in my opinion where Azamara have improved in 10 years.
