Heathrow to Hampton Inn Waterloo

We will be arriving to Heathrow (Terminal 5) around 9AM on a Friday morning from the US.

 

What are our options to get to the Hampton Inn Waterloo with luggage (one suitcase and one backpack each)?

We always take the Tube from Heathrow. We stayed at the H10 Hotel in Waterloo a couple of years ago. It's a couple of blocks farther away from the Waterloo Tube station. We found it convenient to the things we wanted to see that trip: Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern.

Thanks!   You have to change lines on the tube to get to Waterloo, right?  Was that hard with luggage?

Not if you're able to manage it. I don't remember if the station where we changed from the Piccadilly Line to get to Waterloo had a lot of stairs. We both had 40-pound pieces of checked luggage and our backpacks and managed.

Get the Picadilly line from LHR. Get out at Hammersmith or Barons Court, then you just have to walk across the platform to get the District line train (no steps!). Get off at Westminster and change to the Jubilee line (disabled access, so should be lifts[elevators]) and go one stop to Waterloo...again disabled access, so should be lifts to street level.
