Being Dropped off at Port of Charleston

My husband is dropping me off at the port. Is there anything I need to know about how this will work?  I have watched some YouTube videos on arriving at Port but they haven't really addressed where drop off would happen. And they made me rather nervous because honestly it looks like a mad mess! lol

Then I read some stuff here that made me feel better; but then I am seeing some people (especially one person) just dogging the port to no end!

I am worried I will get caught out in the rain or something lugging all my luggage....IDK.    I mean....it may not rain...right?  lol

Anyway, any hints or tips?  TIA!

I don't know if you have cruised yet or not, but I have been dropped off at Charleston port a number of times, each time it is different,  but the only constant has been that my luggage has been taken quickly and I have got to the check-in portion quickly.  There is a lot of construction going on it that area right now, but Charleston having such a small port they have gotten very good at moving passengers quickly.
