And yes, one of the major "functions" of Cruise Critic is to facilitate Roll Calls where people on the same cruise can organize activities both on and off the ship. Slot pulls, cabin crawls with or w/o poker draws, some ambitious organizers have put together spread sheets (google docs?) wherein members list their interests such as Mahjong, Bridge, or Pickleball to find partners on board, I like to pick a spot for sailaway so RC members can come by and meet in person -- then there is the official Meet&Mingle get-together, usually organized with an employee of the ship and SOMETIMES attended by one or more officers.

Then there are port-stop private tours that people find and share (ahead of time) with others on their Roll Call -- often these either have minimums or decrease in price with a maximum number of people, so the one who finds the tour and wants to take it recruits others to share the van or boat or whatever.

Find your Roll Call here:

https://www.cruisecritic.com/rollcalls/

If there isn't one you may start one yourself (follow the format you see in your cruiseline's section), or wait and check back when someone else has started it.

Hi Randyslkg,

Yes, I've organized multiple Slot Pulls, Cabin Crawls and Gift exchanges across a variety of cruise lines.

Happy to answer any questions you might have.
