Heading out on b2b from Miami on Feb 2... wondering how it works when we get back to Miami... are we allowed to stay on ship? If we get off ship.. do we have to get back on through the general boarding line for the "new" cruise.

Thanks!

There will be a letter in your cabin explaining the process.,,Basically you are walked off and allowed to return almost immediately

You meet in the MDR with the other B2B guests. They had some pastries and Mimosas. We were escorted to C&I and given new S&S cards and re-boarded with our escort. You are then allowed, if you wish, to tour Miami. When you return to the ship you do not go through general boarding. We always get the same cabin so we don't have to move anything

B2Bs are so nice.

We wanted to go out to Miami, so we took the "In Transit Pass" that was provided with the B2B instructions AND the boarding pass for the next cruise and just left when we wanted. When coming back we headed to the Priority line and showed our boarding pass and In Transit Pass and were waved all the way through to the ship. Our old cards still worked until we went to Guest Services later and picked up the new ones. IF you want to go out later than the B2B meeting time in the dining room, you need to go to the meeting. In any case, if you get off the ship make sure to have the boarding pass for the next cruise.

If staying on the ship in your same room, you don't have to leave your room by the "everyone must be out of the room" time. We like to eat breakfast around 7am, then head to the room for first napsies. Then just head to the B2B meeting at the designated time (usually 9:30 for medium/small ships and 10:00 for larger ships). They have juice and pastries, then swap out your cards and escort you down to customs to say HI and right back on the ship. They offer champagne and take a free group picture that is delivered to your cabin later. Then we usually eat a small lunch on the totally empty ship, and head to the room for second napsies until muster time. Vacation, right??

Where you meet differs depending on the ship and/or specific cruise.  The first time we did a B2B, we met in the atrium.  The second, it was the MDR.  And neither time did we receive pastries.

sorry, that's not how it works, if you did a B2B you got your card before you returned to the ship. Your old cards would not be recognized, it's a completely different cruise

I agree with your last comment 100%. I would not do a B2B without having the same cabin for both cruises.

Cruising will never be the same.  After doing a B2B that’s all you will want to do.

Well...I was there October 2019 on the Conquest...you were not! On this ship you received your card in your mailbox. So, we boarded the ship and went to the room to get the cards from the mailbox. They weren't there. We used the old cards to go in the room and drop stuff off. We called Guest Services and asked where the new cards were. They told us come pick them up at the desk.

So, yes, that was how it worked.

On the Conquest end of November and we met in one of the dining rooms. They had pastries etc there, collected our old cards, came back shortly after and gave us our new ones. We waited another 15 minuets or so and they marched us off the ship, almost turned right around and back on. Mimosas, a group photo and end of story. Same cabin but had to change in the past. Just throw your stuff in a suitcase and they move the bags and all hanging stuff to the new room. The only problem we have found, and we have done a number of B2B, is the second week we would end up going down to our cabin from the first week.

I will be doing our first B2B in April, and I’m afraid I will be spoiled after that. Nothing short of a Journey cruise will satisfy me after a B2B, unless I book another B2B! 😎🛳

You are absolutely right. This year we have both a Journeys cruise and a B2B booked. 😀

Definitely same cabin!

I had an inside cabin for the 1st leg of a 10 day Journeys cruise and got a free upgrade mysteriously to a balcony for the second 11 day leg.  No problem moving from cabin to cabin, I did it myself in under 30 minutes after getting my new S&S card.  I do pack light, just a carry on suitcase.

Sitting on the balcony when docked in St Croix after the day's excursion, I saw 4 whales cavorting on the other side of the pier with a baby, how unusual was that gift!

I also was on this ship. your card is in the mailbox on the first leg. The entire computer system is cleared for the previous cruise. You old folio is non existent. The card my have still opened the cabin door, but useless for any purchases

We are doing our 1st  B2B in May.  Will they allow you to keep your old S&S card as souvenir.  I keep all our old cards.

Absolutely! Keep them! They are no good anymore, anyway. Cherished memories!

I am currently sitting in Houston Hobby Airport on my way home after doing a B2B on the Dream (my 4th).  You should receive a letter in your stateroom on the last day of the cruise with specific instructions on where to meet. If you don't, make sure and go ask at guest services. They did forget ours once.

The only better than a B2B is a B2B2B!
