"Fully covered shoes" in the Windjammer????

Hi! New to RCL after three cruises on CCL. I was exploring the ship online and getting excited for our March trip when I noticed that in the Windjammer description it says "Fully covered shoes and shirts required"

 

Does that mean no flip flops? I'm fine with wearing a full swimsuit cover-up so the shirt thing - no problem!

 

Other than to dinner, flip flops is my go-to cruise/resort wear. 

 

Please let me know as closed-toe shoes were not on the packing list. Thanks!

I've seen plenty of flip flops in the WJ.. shirts are required.... but seen plenty of tank tops. if pretty relaxed especially for breakfast and lunch

I would not pay attention to that, you will be fine.

I think they forgot a comma after fully covered - ' fully covered, shoes and shirts required'; meaning no bathing suits without coverup,  shirts required for men and no bare feet. I've worn and seen others plenty of times with flip flops in the WJ

I think I was the only person in the WJ today at lunch that DIDN’T have on flip flops and a bathing suit cover. They need to put a comma after ‘fully covered’ as someone mentioned.

The VAST majority of times I've been in the WJ, I've had sandals on.  No worries.

I regularly sit by the pool in the morning and then head in to Windjammer to grab lunch and bring it back out to my chair...never have I ever put on "real" shoes to do so.

The only times we go in the WJ is during the day when we have flip flops on.  You will have no issues!

Only place I have seen this has been on either a Galley or ships tour. It wasn’t enforced.

lol, people were mostly in flip flops and bathing suits in WJ last April.

Heck, I saw a dude in swimming shorts and a t-shirt at MDR on a formal night.

No, been that way for yrs, Decades,. Seen it in writing many many times, just that most never followed it or even read it. I can see no Suits without cover up, but Flip Flops are exceptable, long as not worn in Kitchen or other Tours. Many places dont allow Tank-tops in Rest, really see the reason in Buffet or WJ why shouldnt be worn

Been chased twice because the ice machine outside wasn't working while being barefoot.  Flip-Flops for over 20 years!

I only wear shoes during rock climbing - ice skating-gym  and MDR

I barely even pack “fully-covered” shoes on a cruise. I wear slides all day most days and go to the windjammer most days.
