wrk2cruise Posted January 17, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2020 We used Lyft and I believe it was less than $30 for the 2 of us.

ladysail2 Posted January 19, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2020 Would like your learned experience please. Three of us would like a ride from Doubletree at the Newark airport to Port Liberty for Anthem. The hotel has a shuttle which charges $25 PP. I looked up taxi rates, and they're saying $60-$75 for the 14-minute ride to the port. Are the taxis really that expensive? Thanks for any enlightenment!! The Uber/Lyft rates are much less. As a solo I would go with the $25 shuttle rate. If you’re sharing a ride, the Uber/Lyft rate would be less per person. The traffic can really back up at Cape Liberty - I left late last year because of a norovirus cleaning and that was a huge mistake. It was almost an hour from the nearby light rail station to dropoff. If you’re not using the hotel shuttle, you should leave between 10-10:30 am. Anthem typically boards early. I saw a post from the 1/5 cruise that said their boarding started at 10:35, which is really early. No guarantees of course that that will happen on 1/27. I’m planning to leave NYC at about 9 am for my public transit trip on PATH to Hoboken and light rail to Bayonne.
