Brilliance Casino Smoke?

I realize this is subjective, and may change from sailing to sailing, but... in general... does anyone know how "smoky" the casino on the Brilliance is?  We cruised on the Brilliance a few years back, and I remember smelling the smoke in other venues, but was wondering if things have improved, or if they have a non smoking section?

Personally, I thought it was very smoky.  I am pretty sensitive to smoke though so it could just be me but I had a raw throat and smelly clothes/hair after spending some time at the slots (not much because I am cheap, lose $20 and I am out🤣).  The smoke tended to seep out into the surrounding area a bit also.

Thank you ALL for your responses!!  Your observations are exactly what I remember, and am sad to hear are still ongoing.  I was hoping for a short weekend, local cruise, and was hoping to spend some time at the slots.  Brilliance fit the bill.... except for the smoke.  I am fairly sensitive to smoke.  Guess I will look into other options. .  Wish Royal would address the issue.  Sounds like it's an issue for others, as well.   Thank You ALL again for your quick responses.  You are AWESOME!!

Check out Celebrity, no smoking in their casinos at all.

The smoke would draft out from the casino entrance into the elevator area, and you couldn't avoid it.  There was one guy sitting on a stool by the slot leading into the casino just smoking and reading a book.  Those people should be sent out to the outer decks.  🍷

I remember when my local pub was afraid to go to non-smoking because of losing business.  Well guess what -- they gained business, and the smokers stayed but just went outside  to get their fix.  The bartender, who has been there for years, said he knows of only one patron who hasn't come back.

I'm sure a lot of people won't go into the casino because of smoking.  I won't, unless I'm running a slot pull, and then choose a non-smoking side of the casino.  It's too bad the smoke won't stay on its side of the casino.   I would think the true gamblers would still go, even if they had to take a break and go outside to get their fix.

I complain every time I board a ship to the casino manager (who doesn't really care), and to guest relations.  Maybe they'll get the word.  🍷

One of the things I'm looking forward to on our upcoming Radiance cruise from Australia... no smoking in the casino.

On our last cruise from Singapore, I had a cough and a sore throat by day 4, and my other half refused to go in the casino.

I guess the laws in some countries are just backward.

This is such a shame!  I hope Royal does something about it!!  But I’m doubtful anything will change.  We were just on the Indy and didn’t get even a whiff of smoke... even in playmakers, which was adjoining.

This totally sucks for me. I can’t stand cig smoke and I’m doing a 15 night transatlantic in May.....maybe a mask would help????

If you plan to go into the casino then maybe so. If not then I would just stay away from the casino and the immediate vicinity.

I was on Brilliance in December and the smoke was the worst I've experienced on any ship.

Besides issue this Class having worst ventilation in the Casino, on reg longer Cruises other ships in this Class do requires refuel often. This   no smoking outside decks that whole day, only place smoking is allowed in Casino even when it's closed. Making it a Smoker's Lounge... Few yrs ago did the then 13n BOS/TPA cruises every yr. She had 3 Formal nites, 2 which were Smoke Free nites in the Casino
