Transport from MIA to downtown hotel

I'm sure this has been covered before but I'll ask anyway, looking to get from MIA to downtown hotel. I see some pricing for taxi's that are about $60.00 but I think that's too high.

Taxi on the meter from MIA airport to downtown hotels should be about $25-30 on the meter; or use UberX or standard Lyft for $20 or just under.

You can take the metro rail from MIA to downtown for less than $3 each...

The bus is also an option.   If you're staying on or near 17th St in Miami Beach the bus stops at several stops along that street.  Also around $3, but not the most convenient if you have more than carry-on luggage.
